Solana: the migration of the Helium project will take place on 27 March

News on Solana - In 2017, most crypto projects opted for creating their own blockchain. However, many have finally realized that it would be more relevant to migrate to a layer 1 that has proven itself. This is notably what the Helium project is about to do by migrating to Solana.

 

Helium lands on Solana in March Last September, the Helium protocol teams proposed to their governance a potential migration to the Solana blockchain. Indeed, this migration aims to solve the scalability issues that Helium faces on its own blockchain.

Helium moves to Solana to gain scalability and competitiveness and create a better decentralized 5G network. Despite mixed reviews, the protocol's governance voted 81% in favor of the migration to Solana.

 

 

As a result, the entire Helium ecosystem (tokens and governance) will be moved to the Solana blockchain.

 

 

Finally, on February 17th, Helium developers revealed that the said migration will take place on March 27th, 2023.

"After months of meticulous planning and technical development, the Helium Foundation is proud to officially propose March 27, 2023 as the migration date to the Solana blockchain."
